Media critics blast coverage calling riots 'mostly peaceful'
Original: SUPERCUT! Corporate media: These murderous riots are actually mostly peaceful
A widely shared media supercut claims corporate news outlets downplayed violence during recent riots, pairing footage of destruction with anchors calling the unrest 'mostly peaceful.' Conservative commentators are amplifying it as proof of media bias, while critics of the montage argue it cherry-picks clips and ignores that many protests genuinely were peaceful. The clash has reignited the familiar argument over how mainstream media frames civil unrest.
Why now: Ongoing political riots in the US have revived debate over whether mainstream media coverage underplays violence
