Democratic Iowa Senate candidate says he split his ticket
Original: Democratic Iowa Senate candidate says he split his ticket https:// lemmy.world/post/53961185
A Democratic candidate running for the US Senate in Iowa has said that he split his ticket, meaning he voted for candidates from more than one party in the same election. The admission is drawing attention because ticket-splitting by a candidate for office is unusual, and it raises questions about his own support for his party's slate in a competitive swing state.
Why now: A candidate openly admitting to voting across party lines is unusual and politically notable during an election period
