Harry Grant pushes for NRL free agency rule change
Original: harry grant free agency proposal
Australia rugby league captain Harry Grant has called for a change to NRL rules around player movement and free agency, arguing the current system is unfair. He says half of the Kangaroos squad has been 'dudded' by what he describes as a circus around contracts and eligibility, and is pushing for what he calls an easy fix to simplify how players are treated.
Why now: Grant's comments about contract and eligibility rules come amid ongoing debate over how the NRL handles player movement for representative players.
