International student numbers at University of Washington keep falling
Original: The number of international students attending the University of Washington continues to drop during the second Trump ad
The University of Washington reports that international student enrollment has fallen by nearly 7% for the second consecutive year, reaching its lowest level in a decade during the second Trump administration. The decline, reported by KUOW, adds to concerns that tighter visa policies and a less welcoming political climate are discouraging foreign students from enrolling at US universities.
Why now: The continuing drop in foreign enrollment under Trump's second term raises concerns about the impact of US immigration and visa policy on higher education.
