Democrat Rob Sand Flips Deep Red State in Stunning Upset

Original: rob sand

Democrat Rob Sand has won a statewide race in a deeply Republican-leaning state, in what commentators are calling a stunning blow to Donald Trump and his party. The Daily Beast described the result as Democrats flipping a deep red state, and the story is drawing wide attention across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia, where it ranks among the most searched topics.

Why now: The unexpected Democratic victory in a conservative state is being read as a rebuke of Trump ahead of upcoming elections.
