Original: “Korea Opens Its First AI Humanoid Data Factory” | Newswise
South Korea has opened its first data factory dedicated to AI humanoid robots, a facility designed to generate the training data needed to develop humanoid systems. The move positions the country among the nations building dedicated infrastructure for robotics AI, an area currently dominated by the United States and China. Details about the facility's operators, scale and timeline remain limited pending official announcements.
Why now: Governments and companies worldwide are racing to secure training data for humanoid robotics, and a national-level facility marks a notable step in that competition.
