Ben McAdams vows to fight for Utahns in Congress
Original: I’m ‘going to fight’ for Utahns, Ben McAdams vows, as Democrats win a seat in Congress
Democrat Ben McAdams says he is 'going to fight' for Utahns as he takes up a seat in Congress, giving Democrats a House win in Utah. The pledge comes as the party gains ground in a state long dominated by Republicans, and attention is on how he will represent a largely conservative constituency.
Why now: A Democrat winning a congressional seat in traditionally Republican Utah is a notable political shift.
