Apple sets pre-order date for its next iPhone duo
Original: Get ready: Apple sets iPhone Duo pre-pre-ordering date
Apple has announced the date when customers will be able to pre-register interest in its two upcoming iPhone models, ahead of the usual pre-order window, according to Macworld. The 'pre-pre-order' stage lets buyers reserve a device before sales formally open. Details on pricing, availability and the full launch schedule have not yet been confirmed by the company.
Why now: Apple product launch dates reliably draw attention, and the unusual pre-registration step signals an atypical sales process.
