Merry Christmas Aubrey Flint: Dickensian festive Britpic reviewed
Original: Merry Christmas Aubrey Flint review – Dickensian festive Britpic decorated by selection box of familiar faces By Mike Mc
A new British festive film, Merry Christmas Aubrey Flint, has drawn a review from critic Mike McCahill, who describes it as a Dickensian holiday story about an imperilled retirement community. He credits a cast including Richard E Grant, Celia Imrie, Kiell Smith-Bynoe and Nigel Planer with warming up an otherwise formulaic narrative.
Why now: The film's release and its star-studded British cast have prompted fresh critical coverage during the festive season.
