Claim Circulates That Religious People Poison Those Around Them
Original: Religious people make life bitter for themselves, and poison for everyone around them. # religion # philosophy
A sweeping criticism of religion is being shared, arguing that religious people make their own lives bitter and act as a poison to those around them. No specific incident or evidence accompanies the claim; it reads as a provocative philosophical statement rather than a report. It fits into ongoing online debates about religion's social effects, and supporters of faith are likely to push back against such blanket characterisations of believers.
Why now: It is a provocative anti-religious statement likely intended to spark debate in ongoing online arguments about religion.
