Original: Ocean Breeze awards alpha ventus service job to Deutsche Windtechnik
Ocean Breeze Energy has awarded Deutsche Windtechnik the service contract for the alpha ventus offshore wind farm in the German North Sea. The deal covers maintenance of the pioneering wind farm's turbines. The appointment is seen as another sign of growing demand for independent offshore wind service providers as Germany's early offshore projects age.
Why now: The award of a major offshore wind service contract in Germany is newsworthy for the renewables sector.
