Original: DIIV Go Pop, And Mean It
Brooklyn shoegaze band DIIV are being described as going pop, and meaning it, according to a Clash Magazine feature. The piece frames the band's shift toward a more melodic, accessible sound as a deliberate artistic choice rather than a passing experiment. Fans of the band's earlier, effects-heavy records are likely weighing in on the change of direction.
