Far-right weapons haul found in Belfast reignites terror debate
Original: Right Wing Terrorists make bombs, Left Wing 'Terrorists' hold bits of card protesting a genocide. https://www. theguardi
A large cache of weapons linked to far-right extremists has been uncovered in Belfast, drawing attention to right-wing terrorism in Northern Ireland. Commenters are contrasting the discovery with the treatment of left-wing activists, who they say face the 'terrorist' label for holding placards at pro-Palestine protests against the Gaza genocide, arguing police and media apply a double standard.
Why now: The Belfast weapons haul gave fresh ammunition to an ongoing argument about political bias in how terrorism is defined and policed.
