Pedicabs Blast 'Empire State of Mind' Outside Broadway Theaters
Original: Early Addition: Pedicabs keep blasting 'Empire State of Mind' outside Broadway theaters during the show https://gothamis
Pedicab operators in New York are repeatedly playing Alicia Keys and Jay-Z's 'Empire State of Mind' outside Broadway theaters, loudly enough that the music intrudes on performances inside. The report has drawn attention to noise complaints around the Theater District and the ongoing friction between pedicab drivers competing for tourists and venues trying to keep shows undisturbed.
Why now: New Yorkers are amused and annoyed by the clash between tourist-seeking pedicabs and Broadway performances.
