France has announced it will boycott the UN's Durban conference over antisemitism concerns, becoming the eleventh state to do so. Pro-Israel commentators and accounts thanked President Emmanuel Macron and the French foreign ministry for the decision, welcoming the move as a stand against what critics describe as persistent antisemitism at the event, which has long been controversial for its focus on Israel.
Why now: France's decision to join a growing list of countries boycotting the controversial conference is being widely shared and praised by pro-Israel voices.
