Dick Morris blames GOP midterm losses on Trump's success
Original: We've reached the "We're losing because we're winning" stage of Republican denial https://www. mediaite.com/media/tv/dic
Commentators are mocking a claim by Dick Morris that Republican midterm losses stem from Trump's successes rather than defeats. Critics say the argument, that the party is 'losing because it's winning', shows a stage of denial within Republican circles after disappointing results. The framing is being widely shared as an example of strained explanations for the party's underperformance at the ballot box.
Why now: A prominent Trump ally offered an unusual explanation for GOP midterm losses that people find absurd and are sharing widely.
