Drones linked to Sudan's Rapid Support Forces attacked Ed Damazin for a second consecutive day, targeting military installations and civilian properties. Residents reported explosions and sustained anti-aircraft fire over the city. The repeated strikes mark an escalation in the area, which had previously been largely outside the main front lines of Sudan's civil war.
Why now: The strikes hit a city previously spared from major combat, raising fears the RSF is expanding its drone campaign to new fronts.
