Colorado ballot measures restrict trans rights in US vote
Original: The # BallotMeasures went HARD against # trans people. # Colorado was worst with 2, banning # sports and # kids # Medica
Voters approved ballot measures restricting transgender people, with Colorado passing two measures banning trans participation in sports and gender-related medical care for minors. Critics, including trans advocates and Democratic-leaning voters, are expressing anger, arguing the party failed to protect them despite promises, and that voter support shows the issue is not confined to conservative states.
Why now: Election results on trans-related ballot measures are newly public and advocates are reacting to the losses
