Critics say Trump still controls Washington as allies fall in line

Original: Yes, America! The # TrumpVIrus beast is still at the controls, with # MAGAMike & # Blanche ( & # GQP ) still at his beck

Political commentators are arguing that Donald Trump remains the dominant force in American governance, with House Speaker Mike Johnson and Attorney General Pam Bondi described as acting at his command alongside the wider Republican party. The same critics, however, point to encouraging signs: claims that the country is returning to political sanity, that the Constitution is being upheld, and that a functioning government has been restored.

Why now: Ongoing debate over Trump's continued grip on the Republican party and the federal government is driving political commentary.
