Valve has rolled out a new presentation for sale events on Steam store pages, changing how promotions and discounts are displayed to shoppers. The update affects how developers can present their sales via Steamworks. Linux and gaming communities are sharing the news, with developers and players discussing the redesigned layout and what it means for discovering discounted games.
Why now: Steam is the dominant PC game store, so any change to how sales are displayed matters to players and developers alike.
