Original: Flock CEO Hides His House on Google Maps, Internet Marks It a "Public Toilet"
Garrett Langley, CEO of surveillance company Flock, reportedly had his home blurred on Google Maps. Internet users responded by tagging the obscured property as a "public toilet" on the map. The story is drawing attention amid criticism of Flock's license-plate surveillance network, with the tagging seen as a form of online mockery and protest against the company's privacy practices.
Why now: People are amused and frustrated by the irony of a surveillance company CEO seeking privacy for himself.
