The Guardian has published a short documentary following a scientist whose role in the Flint, Michigan water crisis transformed from celebrated whistleblower to figure of public anger. The film traces how the researcher was initially hailed for exposing lead contamination in the city's drinking water, then later accused of betraying the residents he claimed to help, reflecting ongoing bitterness over the disaster and its aftermath.
Why now: The Guardian's new video revisits the Flint water crisis, a topic that still provokes strong debate over accountability and public health.
