Police reportedly detained peaceful Palestine Action protesters under terror legislation for holding signs quoting Sarah Helm, the wife of a UK prime minister's adviser. Helm had posted, 'God help us authors who support Palestine…', and the signs reproduced her words. The case is drawing criticism as an apparent overreach of counter-terror powers against nonviolent demonstrators. People are debating free speech limits and the policing of pro-Palestine activism in Britain.
