New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani was asked what changes he would like to see in Washington's policy towards Israel. He answered that the United States should demand compliance with international law and place the value of human life above the approach it has followed for years. His remarks are drawing attention as an unusually direct statement on US-Israel policy from a sitting big-city mayor.
