'Digger' Ad Responds to Critics With Profane Tom Cruise Line
Original: ‘Digger’ Ad Fires Back at Critics With Tom Cruise Character Declaring “F**k Those People”
A promotional spot for the film 'Digger' has drawn attention for aggressively pushing back at the movie's critics. In the ad, Tom Cruise's character bluntly tells detractors 'f**k those people,' a profanity-laden message aimed at those who dismissed the film. The stunt has sparked conversation about whether such a combative marketing approach helps or hurts a film's reception.
Why now: The unusual choice of an aggressive, profane response to critics in an official film ad is striking and rare in mainstream marketing
