The Gitea project has released version 28.0.0, abandoning its long-standing 1.x numbering scheme and moving to a new versioning format. The release introduces audit logging, dedicated bot accounts, HTTPS deploy tokens, code owner approval rules, and improved pull request diff search and filters, along with updates to Actions queue views and artifact handling.
