Bat-ball balance crucial to cricket, says MCC official
An official from the Marylebone Cricket Club, the guardian of cricket's laws, has said that maintaining the balance between bat and ball is crucial to the future of the sport. The remark comes amid ongoing debate in the game over batting-friendly conditions, flat pitches and equipment advances that many feel have tilted contests in favour of batters.
Why now: Ongoing debate over pitches and rules favouring batters keeps the balance of the game in the spotlight.
