Guwahati ODI pitch criticised as India and West Indies pile up 800 runs
Original: 'Terrible ODI pitch': Guwahati track lambasted by fans as India and West Indies 2nd ODI sees more than 800 runs scored
India and West Indies' second ODI in Guwahati produced more than 800 runs, with fans criticising the pitch as a 'terrible' batting track that offered bowlers little help. The run-fest at Barsapara Cricket Stadium sparked debate over whether such flat surfaces are good for one-day cricket, even as batters entertained with a flood of boundaries.
Why now: The unusually high run tally and fan criticism of the Guwahati pitch made it a talking point among cricket followers.
