Lara Trump warns Iran war could cost Republicans the midterms

Original: Lara Trump says Iran war could cost Trump the midterms

Lara Trump, the president's daughter-in-law and former Republican National Committee co-chair, said the conflict with Iran could cost Donald Trump and the Republicans in the midterm elections. She suggested that American voters wary of another foreign war could punish the party at the ballot box, underscoring anxiety inside the GOP about the political price of military action in the Middle East.

Why now: Her warning highlights internal Republican concern that voter opposition to the Iran conflict could hurt the party in the upcoming midterms.
