Gaza documentary NAZA tops Italian box office, beating Avengers Endgame

Original: Gaza documentary NAZA beats Avengers Endgame: Encore to top Italian box office

The Gaza documentary NAZA has taken the top spot at the Italian box office, outselling the re-release of Marvel's Avengers: Endgame. The result is striking for a documentary about the Gaza conflict to outperform a blockbuster franchise title, and it has drawn attention to Italian audiences' appetite for films addressing the war.

Why now: A documentary about Gaza overtaking one of the biggest blockbusters in history at the Italian box office is an unexpected and newsworthy result.
