Original: Trial of live # FacialRecognition in # London stations leads to a false positive and no arrests https://www. theguardian
A trial of live facial recognition cameras at London railway stations has resulted in a false positive match, with no arrests made as a result. The case has drawn criticism from privacy and surveillance campaigners, who say it shows the technology's error rate remains a serious problem when used on the public without consent.
Why now: Concerns about privacy and the accuracy of live facial recognition in public spaces remain contentious.
