Animals Sense the Danger Spreading Fear Across the Middle East
Original: Everyone is afraid… even the most vulnerable creatures, who do not understand what is happening but can sense the danger
A widely shared message describes how fear has spread beyond people to the most vulnerable creatures, who do not understand what is happening but can sense the danger and search for somewhere safe to hide. The author says even helpless animals tremble at the sounds tearing through the region, framing the current climate of fear in the Middle East as something all living beings now feel.
Why now: Ongoing violence and conflict in the Middle East are driving widespread expressions of fear and empathy for all living creatures caught in the danger.
