Home is now home again for Nyanuk
The Norwegian Refugee Council is telling the story of Nyanuk, a displaced person in Sudan who has been able to return to her home. The account highlights the rare moments of return and recovery for families displaced by Sudan's conflict. With millions forced from their homes across the country, stories of people going back remain notable. The organisation uses such accounts to draw attention to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Sudan.
Why now: Sudan's displacement crisis is ongoing, and stories of families returning home stand out amid widespread suffering.
