Swiss FA withdraws support for FIFA chief Gianni Infantino

Original: gianni infantino

The Swiss Football Association has withdrawn its support for FIFA president Gianni Infantino, according to Sportstar. The move by Infantino's home federation marks a notable rupture, as Switzerland had long been seen as a base of support for the FIFA chief. Details about the reasons behind the withdrawal remain limited, but the decision is drawing attention ahead of FIFA's internal political machinations.

Why now: A national federation pulling support from the sitting FIFA president signals potential weakening of his political position.
