Reddit to block infrequent users of Old Reddit
Original: Reddit will block Old.Reddit.com from people who haven't used it in 6 months
Reddit will begin blocking access to its legacy Old.Reddit.com interface for accounts that have not used it in the past six months, Ars Technica reports. The change targets the stripped-down, ad-light version of the site that many long-time users prefer, and is likely to fuel fresh complaints that the company is pushing everyone toward the modern, ad-supported experience.
Why now: Reddit's restriction of its beloved legacy interface angers long-time users who prefer the minimalist site.
