Neon Counters A24 With Open-Source SCP Foundation Film
Original: Neon SCP Foundation Movie Counters A24's With Open-Source Production
Neon is developing an SCP Foundation movie using an open-source production model, positioning it against a rival SCP project previously announced by A24. The SCP Foundation is a collaborative online fiction universe built from thousands of community-written horror and sci-fi stories, and both studios are now racing to bring it to the screen. The open-source approach nods to the property's crowdsourced origins and has drawn attention from the fandom.
Why now: Two competing SCP Foundation film projects from Neon and A24 have turned the internet-born horror universe into a timely Hollywood battleground.
