The organisers behind the Stop Killing Games European Citizens' Initiative are urging people to sign a new petition, Stop Killing The Internet, which opposes digital ID and age verification requirements online. The campaign directs supporters to an official European Commission citizens' initiative page, saying the new measures would harm internet freedom. Supporters are being asked to sign and share the petition widely.
Why now: Renewed momentum from the Stop Killing Games campaign is drawing attention to a follow-up petition against EU digital ID and age verification proposals.
