1991 Matt Groening cartoon recirculated as political prophecy
Original: Groening = Nostradamus @ politicalcartoons # uspol # MattGroening # LifeInHell #1991 # PoliticalCartoons
A political cartoon by Matt Groening from his Life in Hell series, dated 1991, is being shared again with the framing that its content reads as strikingly prescient about current US politics. Commenters are comparing Groening to Nostradamus, suggesting the decades-old strip appears to anticipate today's political situation with uncanny accuracy.
Why now: A 34-year-old cartoon is resonating because readers see it as predicting present-day American politics.
