Trump ally urges rethink of immigration agenda
Original: Trump ally urges administration to ‘step back’ and rethink immigration agenda
An ally of Donald Trump has publicly urged the administration to 'step back' and reconsider its approach to immigration, according to The Guardian. The call for a rethink comes as the administration's immigration agenda continues to draw scrutiny, and the intervention from within Trump's own circle suggests unease about the direction and political costs of current policy.
Why now: A rare public break from within Trump's circle over immigration policy is drawing attention.
