Coltrane's Tone Circle

John Coltrane's 'Tone Circle' — his circular diagram mapping the relationships between chords and keys, often associated with his 1960 recording 'Coltrane Changes' — is drawing fresh attention online. The hand-drawn chart, once thought to encode his harmonic innovations, remains a subject of fascination for jazz musicians, theorists and fans who continue to debate what it reveals about his approach to composition.
