Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire may be heading to the Nintendo Switch, after the official Pokémon account shared high-definition footage of the Game Boy Advance titles. Fans read the unusually crisp visuals as a sign that remakes or ports of the third-generation games are in the works, following earlier Switch releases of other classic Pokémon entries. Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have not confirmed anything.

Why now: The official account sharing HD footage of the games has fuelled fan speculation about an imminent Switch announcement.
