Pentagon enlists Musk and Luckey for military planning
Original: The Pentagon taps Elon Musk and Palmer Luckey to help decide what the military should do next
The Pentagon has brought in Elon Musk and Palmer Luckey to help advise on the future direction of the US military, according to TechCrunch. The move pairs the world's richest man with the founder of defense startup Anduril, signalling a deeper role for Silicon Valley figures in shaping defense priorities and technology strategy. Details of their exact mandate remain limited.
Why now: The unusual formal involvement of two high-profile tech entrepreneurs in Pentagon decision-making raises questions about the militarization of Silicon Valley and conflicts of interest.
