Bolton Wanderers stand by goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu
Original: At least Gavin Bazunu's club stands by him, if his national governing body and team mates won't. https://www. bwfc.co.uk
Gavin Bazunu, the Republic of Ireland goalkeeper, has been named Bolton Wanderers' player of the month, and the club is being praised for standing by him publicly. The discussion contrasts the club's support with what supporters see as a lack of backing from the Football Association of Ireland and his international teammates, set against ongoing controversy over statements or positions related to Gaza and Palestine.
Why now: Supporters are highlighting the club's public support for Bazunu amid a wider controversy involving his national team setup and Gaza solidarity.
