Commentators fear collective blame of Arabs after hijacking
Original: As a human, who cares about humans, I am saddened to think that all Arabs in and around # Israel will be made to pay for
Social commentary is expressing sadness that Arabs living in and around Israel could be made to pay collectively for the actions of a single hijacker. The writer frames it as a recurring pattern of collective punishment and racism, warning that an entire population should not be blamed for one individual's crime, and links the concern to wider politics and news coverage of the incident.
Why now: A hijacking incident has sparked fears of collective retaliation and blame against Arabs in the region.
