Seattle's Northwest Film Forum, an independent nonprofit cinema, will now be open seven days a week, according to The Stranger. The change marks an expanded schedule for the venue, which typically operates on limited days and screens arthouse and repertory programming. Film fans in the region are welcoming the move as a sign of renewed stability for local independent cinema.
Why now: An independent cinema expanding to daily operation is seen as good news for Seattle's arthouse film community.
