Japanese golf content is explaining why shots hit from the rough lose so much distance. The common cause, according to golfers and instructors, is grass getting trapped between clubface and ball at impact, robbing shots of power and spin. The topic is circulating among Japanese golf fans, with hashtags covering irons, approach shots, swings and women's golf.
Why now: Golfers are sharing practical instruction on a common on-course frustration as golf content grows in Japan.
