School buses in New York City are still failing to show up for many students with disabilities, according to reporting by Gothamist. Families say the chronic transportation problems mean children are missing school and critical services, adding pressure on the education department to fix routing and staffing issues.
Why now: Parents and disability advocates are frustrated that the transport problems persist into a new period without resolution.
