Press freedom advocates are calling for the release of the entire staff of Matsadaash, an Egyptian investigative journalism platform whose newsroom has reportedly been detained. The Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy is among the organisations amplifying the demand, which has drawn international attention to the detention of journalists in Egypt and renewed concern over the treatment of media workers there.
