Ed Sheeran Asked Bono Not to Pull Him Into Politics

Original: Bono Said When U2 Worked With Ed Sheeran on ‘Yours Eternally,’ Singer Asked, ‘You’re Not Going To Get Me Into Politics, Are You?’

Bono says Ed Sheeran joked 'You're not going to get me into politics, are you?' when the two worked together on the song 'Yours Eternally.' The remark highlights the contrast between U2's long history of political activism and Sheeran's stance as a musician who steers clear of political causes.

Why now: Bono's anecdote about the collaboration, and what it says about musicians' differing approaches to activism, is drawing attention.
