The Trump administration is excluding several countries, including the UK, France, and the Baltic states, from a gathering of NATO members scheduled for next month. The reported snub has drawn attention given the countries' central roles in the alliance and their support for Ukraine, raising questions about US priorities within NATO.
Why now: Excluding key NATO allies from an alliance meeting signals a significant shift in US relations with European partners amid the Ukraine war.
